Special Note:On some of these samples, IE6 (the problem child browser) won't display properly, or at all. Some of the technologies incorporated are not compatible. Like the video player. There is nothing I can do about that. However, with styling and web page layout, if IE6 support is essential it is possible to get a correct display using style sheet switching, which I am familiar with. It will be included in one of the samples as I build my portfolio. |
Sample 1- MultiFormThis sample allows a choice between forms to either add a file to the site, the video player and also make it available for download. Or you could just add a link to a YouTube video. This script supports most formats, both text and media.Use of- HTML / CSS / PHP / XML / the JW Video Player / Flash / Javascript snippets |
Sample 2- Pure CSS Category MenuA category menu, where if you click on the main link it opens a box (like a small page) below it with different options, text, and more links. There is no javascript involved. This was actually customized for a Joomla CMS but I broke it out for the sample.Use of- HTML / CSS / PHP / Joomla |
Sample 3- PHP Knowledge BaseA knowledge base controlled by PHP and frames. This was built for a FileMaker solution to give users how-to's and explanations of how to use the new database.Use of- HTML / CSS / PHP / Some JavaScript |
Sample 4- PHP Style Sheet SwitchingThis is pretty generic, but shows the ability to use a different style sheet depending on the browser being used. Keep your eye on the area above the line, and it will change color depending on the browser. There is also a small insert showing browser and machine specifics.Use of- HTML / CSS / PHP |
Sample 5- Flash ExamplesHere are a few of the Flash Movies / Menus I've created over the years. A scarce few I'm afraid, as I no longer have access to all of them.Use of- Flash / HTML / CSS |
Website ListThe following is an extensive list of websites that I have either built completely, or worked on as a group, added design elements or additional functionality, etc.... This is not be all of them, but you get the idea. :-)Use of- HTML / CSS / PHP / XML / Video Player / Flash / Javascript snippets / CMS / Joomla / AJAX and various software programs like Dreamweaver, HTML Kit, FTP, SSH, etc... (Note: The sites marked as "Mastered" were completely built by me)
